Mujtama-e-Olema (Mumbai), Isna Ashari Youth Foundation (IAYF), Masjid-e-Iranian, Mehfil-e-Saaniye-Zehra (Zaib Palace), Khoja Jamaat, Anfaal Foundation, and many other organizations got together to commemorate the 33rd death anniversary of Imam Khomeini (R). A large number of people – men, women & children – turned up for the event titled Yaad-e-Imam-e-Rahil held at Kesar Baugh, Dongri, on 12th June, Sunday. Besides speeches on the life of Imam Khomeini (R) by Maulana Sayyed Mohammad Askari Sahab (Delhi), Maulana Akhtar Abbas Jaun Sahab (Lucknow) and Maulana Sayed Ghulam Husain Mattoo Sahab (Kashmir), a well known Islamic scholar from Ahle Sunnat, Maulana Mehmood Daryabaadi Sahab attended the program and covered a range of topics including Muslim Unity, current issue of insulting Prophet Muhammad (S), Imam Khomeini (R), etc. Other scholars as well raised the issue of insulting Prophet Muhammad (S). Maulana Hasnain Kararvi Sahab and Maulana Fayyaz Baqri Sahab also participated in the event giving a vote of thanks. A skit was also played by youngsters from ILM (Islamic Learning Movement). However, the event highlight was Salaam Farmande (Salute Commander) which was recited by children. After creating waves in Iran, Salaam Farmandeh reached the shores of Mumbai. Maulana Ali Hamza trained all the children for reciting the famous nazm “Salaam Farmaande” in a really short span of time, apart from that he had been training other children from ILM (Islamic Learning Movement) for the same nazm. Those children participated in the recitation as well. Overall on a really short notice, around 150 children gathered for “Salaam Farmaande” apart from 15 children from ILM. The event attracted young boys and girls under the age of 14 years and they did justice to the nazm originally recited by Abuzar Rouhi from Iran.
