In 2014, believers and scholars gathered to delve into one of the most profound aspects of Shia Islam—the concept of Mahdaviyat, centered around Imam e Zamana (atfs), the awaited savior. This mehfil aimed to deepen the understanding of the significance of Imam Mahdi (atfs) and to discuss the responsibilities of the Ummah (community) in preparing for his reappearance. The event brought together a diverse group of participants, including scholars, community leaders, and laypeople, all united by their devotion to the teachings of the Ahlulbayt (as). Mahdaviyat refers to the belief in the eventual reappearance of Imam Mahdi (atfs), the twelfth Imam and the final successor in the line of Prophet Muhammad (SAWS). He is believed to be in occultation, awaiting the divine command to return and establish justice and peace across the world. This belief is a cornerstone of Shia theology, imbuing followers with hope and a sense of duty to uphold justice and righteousness in anticipation of his return. The mehfil was organized to explore the theological, spiritual, and social dimensions of Mahdaviyat. It sought to educate the community about the importance of understanding and living by the principles of Mahdaviyat, emphasizing the need for spiritual readiness, moral integrity, and active engagement in societal issues as a means of preparing for the Imam’s reappearance.
