As we step into the sacred month of Shaban, we are reminded of the spiritual significance this month holds, especially as it marks the birth anniversary of Imam e Zamana (atfs), the awaited savior of humanity. In this light, Khoja Masjid is honored to host a seminar dedicated to exploring the profound concept of Mahdaviyat and its relevance in our contemporary world. Shaban is a month laden with divine mercy and blessings, serving as a prelude to the holy month of Ramadan. Among its most notable occasions is the 15th of Shaban, the birth of Imam Mahdi (atfs). This event is celebrated with great reverence by the Shia Muslim community, as it commemorates the arrival of the Imam who is destined to bring justice and peace to a world filled with injustice and suffering. Imam Mahdi (atfs) is the 12th Imam, the last in the line of Imams from the progeny of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The belief in his reappearance is central to the Shia faith, encapsulated in the concept of Mahdaviyat. This doctrine not only affirms the return of the Imam but also inspires us to lead lives based on justice, fairness, and adherence to divine guidance, preparing ourselves and our communities for his arrival. The seminar aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of Mahdaviyat, addressing both its theological foundations and its practical implications in today’s world. It is an opportunity for scholars, students, and community members to engage in meaningful discussions on how we can embody the principles of Mahdaviyat in our personal and social lives.
