4 November 2012 12:00 AM Haidery Masjid, Mira Road

In the blessed month of Shaban, which holds immense significance in the Islamic calendar, we gather at the historical Mughal Masjid, Mumbai, to celebrate and reflect upon the teachings and significance of our beloved Imam e Zamana (atfs). This Mehfil serves as a reminder of our responsibilities and our unyielding love and devotion towards Imam Mahdi (atfs), the awaited savior who will fill this world with justice and peace. The month of Shaban is a time of spiritual rejuvenation, a period where believers prepare themselves for the holy month of Ramadan. It is during this month that we commemorate the birth of Imam Mahdi (atfs), the 12th Imam and the last in the line of the divine leaders from the family of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). His birth anniversary, on the 15th of Shaban, is celebrated with great fervor by Shia Muslims around the world. Imam Mahdi (atfs) is not just a historical figure, but a beacon of hope for the oppressed and a symbol of divine justice. The concept of Mahdaviyat encompasses the belief in the eventual appearance of Imam Mahdi (atfs) who will establish a just and equitable global order. It is this belief that strengthens our resolve to stand firm against tyranny and oppression, and to strive for justice in our own lives and societies. This Mehfil is not merely a gathering, but a spiritual journey aimed at deepening our understanding of the teachings of Imam Mahdi (atfs). It is an opportunity to renew our allegiance to him, to reflect on our own spiritual state, and to commit ourselves to living lives that are in line with the values he embodies.
